Itinerary

Day 1HONOLULU

Your “Aloha” experience begins at the Honolulu International Airport with a traditional flower lei greeting and transfer to the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa. The island of Oahu is called the “Gathering Place,” so as other travelers arrive this evening, dinner is at your leisure in any of the hotel’s restaurants. Relax and enjoy your surroundings!

Day 2PEARL HARBOR MEMORIALS

It is a day to remember Pearl Harbor and its WWII heroes. Your first visit is to the USS Arizona Memorial, marking the resting place of 1,102 of the 1,177 soldiers and sailors killed on the USS Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbor. With a deeper understanding of the United States’ entry into WWII, let’s see where it ended. Following lunch, join a docent-guided walking tour of the USS Battleship Missouri. Stand on the surrender deck where General MacArthur signed the treaty to end WWII in Tokyo Bay. Return to the Hyatt Regency to refresh before dinner.

Day 3EAST SHORES, HONOLULU & IOLANI PALACE

Touring Oahu’s East Shores reveals why people fall in love with Hawaii. Lush tropical rain forests, rocky cliffs and incredible views of the blue Pacific Ocean surround you. After lunch, a full city tour of Honolulu features the National Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl), Governor’s Mansion, state capitol building, Chinatown, the King Kamehameha statue, and the Iolani Palace – the only royal palace on American soil and the official residence of Hawaii’s Monarchy. This evening, dine at the world-famous Hy’s Steak House Waikiki.

Day 4POLYNESIAN CULTURAL EXPLORATION

Today, start out with a movie site tour in Honolulu, then head for the north shore big wave beaches of Pipeline and Waimea Bay. At the Polynesian Cultural Center, walk through the seven different cultures of Polynesia. Dinner is a Polynesian prime rib feast followed by the most spectacular cultural show on the islands, “Ha – The Breath of Life.”

Day 5KAUAI, WAILUA RIVER TOUR & KILOHANA

After your morning flight to the garden isle of Kauai, embark on a leisurely cruise down the Wailua River. In the botanical beauty of the Fern Grotto, hold your sweetheart close as you are serenaded with the Hawaiian Wedding Song and view one of Hawaii’s most beautiful waterfalls, “Opaekaa.” Afterwards, take a narrated train tour of the historic Kilohana sugar plantation and take in a tasty Mai Tai making demonstration. The Plantation House by Gaylord’s offers Kauai’s most authentic island dining experience, where local farmers supply fresh, seasonal ingredients. Tonight’s dinner melds Hawaiian hospitality with Pacific Rim cuisine.

Day 6HANGING LOOSE ON KAUAI

Today is free for you to enjoy at your leisure! Enhance your day with an optional helicopter or ATV experience, or you can sit back and relax in paradise. Take in the ocean views during dinner tonight.

Day 7WAIMEA CANYON

Mark Twain nicknamed it “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” and today is your chance to see Waimea Canyon. Take in visual and verbal history along the way – Old Koloa Town, circa 1834, heart of Hawaii’s first sugar cane plantation, and Waimea, the little town that grew up where Captain Cook first set foot in Hawaii in 1778. Arriving at the 3,400-foot level overlook, experience an unsurpassed 360-degree panoramic view of this geological wonder. This afternoon, fly from Kauai to the Hilo side of Hawaii’s Big Island. Unwind at your resort this evening and relax over dinner.

Day 8LAVALOHA FARMS & HAWAII VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK

Following a morning at Lavaloha Farms – a working cocoa farm, spend the rest of your day exploring volcanoes, tropical forests, and the world-famous black sand beaches of the “Big Island.” Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is the big highlight. Learn about Hawaii’s active volcanoes and see their features throughout the park. Whether gazing at a lava tube, steam bluff, or waterfall, your guide provides insight into the island’s rich geology, history, and culture. Dinner is enjoyed on arrival at the Hilton Waikoloa Village.

Day 9HANGING LOOSE ON HAWAII

This day is wide open! Optional activities like the Big Island Spectacular Helicopter Experience, golf, or a Mauna Kea Summit & Stars Adventure are available for purchase or you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropics. Dinner is at your leisure this evening.

Day 10KONA COFFEE EXPERIENCE

There is much to savor! From seed to cup, begin the day with a coffee farm tour and learn about coffee production, sampling as you go. Lunch today is at the local hotspot, Umekes – where their Hawaiian-style food is “So fresh, it’s off da hook!” There is free time to explore Kona before returning to the hotel. Enjoy a sunset dinner with your fellow traveling companions.

Day 11MAUI, IAO VALLEY & LAHAINA

Pack your bags for a quick, morning flight to Maui. From the airport, descend into the Iao Valley – tropical plants, waterfalls, and swimming holes accentuate this tropical rain forest. En route to your hotel, stop in the historic town of Lahaina, an old whaling seaport lined with restaurants, shops, and art galleries. This evening, relax on the shores of Kaanapali Beach in Maui after a sunset cruise.

Day 12HALEAKALA VOLCANO & FEAST OF LELE

Travel to the crest of Haleakala Volcano, 10,000 feet above sea level! This volcano is Maui’s “House of the Sun,” with a moon-like crater the size of Manhattan and spectacular views of the island. This evening, enjoy the world-famous Feast at Lele, a luau that takes you through seven different islands.

Day 13EXPERIENCE LANAI

Today, add a fifth island to your adventure. Late morning, embark on a catamaran cruise from Maui to Lanai – one of Hawaii’s gems. Keep your eyes peeled for marine life during a chance to snorkel and over lunch. On Lanai, enjoy a dockside greeting by locals and a few hours exploring the island. Discover quaint Lanai City, home to only 3,000 people, and the remote Shipwreck Beach. Settle in at one of the most exquisite hotels in the islands. Lanai Four Seasons overlooks a marine sanctuary, ensuring a quiet experience. Enjoy dinner at your leisure at this beautiful resort.

Day 14HANGING LOOSE ON LANA’I

Wrap up your amazing Aloha experience by taking in an adventure that fits your desires. Choose from golfing 18 holes, a relaxing spa massage, horseback riding, Jeep Adventure tour, or fishing. Enjoy the afternoon at the resort’s beautiful beach and pools. Join your fellow travelers for a farewell Hawaiian style dinner overlooking the bay and sunset.

Day 15HONOLULU – FLY HOME
