Day 1WELCOME TO BUENOS AIRES

Welcome to the Antarctic Adventure! As you arrive in Buenos Aires, all guests will be met by their John Hall’s Alaska representative and transferred to their hotel. Enjoy the bustle of Buenos Aires and dinner at your leisure before retiring in this beautiful destination. Rest up as the adventure begins as you travel to this far away continent, and rest easy knowing you are in the care of the John Hall’s Alaska team.

Day 2THE BEST OF BUENOS AIRES

Enjoy a welcome breakfast with your fellow John Hall’s Alaska World Adventure Travelers. We may be miles from Alaska or other destinations traveled but this adventure starts with the same personalized service. Spend today enjoying the sites of Buenos Aires on an included city tour taking in the highlights of this magical city. Return to your hotel this evening for dinner at your leisure.

Day 3BOARD YOUR VESSEL

Today, the Antarctica adventure begins. Board an early morning flight to Ushuaia, where guests will embark the MS Roald Amundsen, specially designed for cruising the polar waters. After a briefing from your Expedition Team, you will have time to settle into your cabin and explore the beautiful vessel.

Day 4ADVENTURES ON ANTARCTICA

Days 4-5
As the MS Roald Amundsen sails from Ushuaia to Antarctica through the Drake Passage, the Expedition Team will equip visitors with everything they need to make the most of the polar expedition and adventures. Spend your days in Expedition Team talks while taking in the luxuries of the MS Roald Amundsen while keeping your eyes peeled for whales and albatrosses.

Day 6ADVENTURES ON ANTARCTICA

Days 6-16
Nothing quite prepares you for it! Surrounded by looming glaciers, and icebergs the size of floating cathedrals, Antarctica will fill you with wonder. Colonies of penguins huddle on the ice flows, avoiding the cunning leopard seals that hunt them. Majestic, migrating whales glide among amazing icebergs, hunting the shoals of krill they feed on. Over the next 10 days, the experienced captain will continually monitor conditions to create the best possible itinerary for your adventure, with no two being the same. Join the expedition team on landings and ice cruises whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Day 17SAILING THROUGH DRAKE PASSAGE

Days 17-18
After 11 days of exhilarating exploration and taking in the wonders and wildlife of Antarctica, your action-packed expedition cruise nears its end. Enjoy your time at sea as you say goodbye to your fellow John Hall’s Alaska World Adventures traveling companions and representative.

Day 19RETURN TO BUENOS AIRES

The expedition cruise ends in Ushuaia in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina’s southernmost province. From here, take a chartered flight back to Buenos Aires, to catch your commercial flight home.

Arranging Your Flights

Arrival and departure airfare to and from Buenos Aires is not included. Chartered flight to/from the vessel in Ushuaia are included in the package.

Due to TSA security checks, please arrive at your local airport 2 hours prior to the plane departure time. The John Hall’s Alaska team can provide assistance with flight arrangements.

It is important to note when booking flights, international airports may require additional security screening when transiting terminals. Guests should plan for 2-3 hours in between international flights.
