Itinerary

Day 1ALOHA TO HONOLULU

The first experience of “Aloha” begins upon arrival at the Honolulu International Airport and being presented with the traditional flower lei. Then transfer to the Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa located in the heart of Waikiki. The island of Oahu is called the “Gathering Place,” so while other travelers arrive this evening, dinner is at leisure in any of the hotel’s restaurants. Relax and enjoy the surroundings!

Day 2AMERICA IN WWII

Today is all about remembering WWII heroes with a day at Pearl Harbor. The first stop will be visiting the USS Arizona Memorial, which marks the resting place of 1,102 of the 1,177 soldiers and sailors killed on the ship during the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. From the reason for the United States’ entry into WWII to its conclusion – with lunch in between – the day ends with a docent guided walking tour of the USS Battleship Missouri. Stand on the surrender deck where General MacArthur signed the treaty in Tokyo Bay to end WWII on the ship that’s now docked at Pearl Harbor. Return to the hotel to freshen up before dinner.

Day 3PICK YOUR ADVENTURE DAY, OAHU EDITION

Visitors come a long way to be in Hawaii. Choose how to spend this day with an included activity. Options include golf, visiting Hawaii’s famous North Shore, fishing or taking in the sunshine and Waikiki Beach. This is a vacation, after all – and all of these are excellent ways to experience the beautiful state! Regroup this evening for dinner at a local favorite with fellow travel companions.

Day 4EAST SHORE & IOLANI PALACE

Touring the eastern shores of Oahu reveals pristine sites that make people fall in love with Hawaii. Lush tropical rain forests, rocky cliffs and incredible views of the blue Pacific Ocean define the Windward side. Enjoy lunch and continue with a full city tour of Honolulu including the National Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl), the Governor’s Mansion, the state capitol building, Chinatown and the King Kamehameha statue. The last stop of the day is a tour of the Iolani Palace. The only royal palace on American soil, this was the official residence of Hawaii’s former monarchy.

Day 5KAUAI

Fly to the garden isle of Kauai. Upon arrival, experience the unexpected agriculture of Kauai visiting Kilohana Plantation. The experience includes a farm tour followed by a Mai Tai demonstration, illustrating the importance of Sugar Cane history to Hawaii. Conclude with dinner before checking into the newest property on Hawaii, the Hale Hokuala Kauai.

Day 6CIRCLE KAUAI

Today, visit Waimea Canyon – nicknamed “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific” by Mark Twain. Along the way, learn about the history of the area through a visual and verbal tour of places such as Old Koloa Town, circa 1834, heart of Hawaii’s first sugar cane plantation, and Waimea, the little town that grew up where Captain Cook first set foot in Hawaii in 1778. Upon arriving at the 3,400-foot canyon overlook, experience an unsurpassed 360-degree panoramic view of this geological wonder. After lunch, head to Hanalei, most well-known for the beaches and mountains pictured in so many movies.

Day 7THE BIG ISLAND

Head to Hawaii’s most active island, the island of Hawaii. Also known as the Big Island. Descend on the lava covered scenery surrounding Kona. Enjoy lunch in downtown Kona and free time before heading to the Hilton Waikoloa Village for an incredible experience in one of Hawaii’s most notable island resorts.

Day 8VOLCANO’S NATIONAL PARK

A long day but entirely worth it. Spend the day exploring one of the most iconic destinations among the Hawaiian Islands, Volcano’s National Park. Visit the active volcanos and see their features throughout different locations at the park. Learn about Hawaii’s active volcanoes and see their features throughout the park. Whether gazing at a lava tube, steam bluff, or waterfall, the Hawaiian guide will provide fascinating insights into the island’s rich geology, history and culture.

Day 9PICK YOUR ADVENTURE ON THE BIG ISLAND

This day is open for doing whatever you want! Optional activities like the Big Island Spectacular Helicopter Experience, a submarine exploration, or a Mauna Kea Summit & Stars Adventure will be available for purchase or you can sit back, relax and enjoy your day in paradise. The day is entirely yours to choose how to spend it, including meals at some local iconic restaurants.

Day 10KONA COFFEE, CHOCOLATE & BREWERY

Begin the day with a visit to a traditional coffee farm and witness the process of coffee production from seed to cup, including samples. Next it’s on to the Kona Brewing Company for a tour of the factory where they brew some of Hawaii’s most recognized beers. Return to the hotel after lunch for free time to relax. Enjoy a sunset dinner with your fellow traveling companions.

Day 11MAUI

Pack your bags for a quick flight to Maui! From the airport, descend into the Iao Valley where tropical plants, waterfalls and swimming holes accentuate this tropical rain forest. Visit an incredible cacao farm before heading to the world renown Maui beaches at the Waldorf Astoria for a relaxing evening and ocean views.

Day 12MAUI’S MOUNTAINS AND SHORELINES

Today, rise early to visit Haleakala. Travel to the very crest of Haleakala Volcano, 10,000 feet above sea level! This volcano is Maui’s “House of the Sun,” with a moon-like crater the size of Manhattan and spectacular views of the island. This evening, experience the beautiful Hawaiian culture through a traditional Hawaiian Luau held at the Waldorf Astoria.

Day 13PICK YOUR ADVENTURE, MAUI EDITION

Today, guests may choose to simply relax at the luxurious hotel and take in the beaches. Other options include offerings such as: golf, snorkling, visiting the small island of Lanai or other great adventures. This evening, take in a private dinner sunset cruise seeing Hawaii’s mountains from the shoreline while reminiscing in the memories of the beautiful Hawaiian Islands.
